Hi,  I'm Natalie, the photographer behind Fairydust & Moonbeams.

There are so many beautiful things around us everyday, memories that fade too quickly.  Capturing these in photos help to rekindle the feelings we had at that time.  My dad died when I was 10 and I hardly have any photos with him, but the ones I do have I will cherish forever.  I am a mum of five, two human and three furry!  My daughter and son are in their teens now and not so eager to pose for the camera anymore! I love the captured moments from when they were growing, but I still make sure to get some when they least expect it or with some bargaining!  My family are my World and the inspiration that increased my love and passion for photography.  I have been taking  photos of them since they were tiny, along with so many things that have caught my eye on life's journey.  As I get older I realise just how important having these memories are, and it makes me so happy to be able to capture them for other's too, sharing my eye and passion for photography.

I've always had an eye for photography and wanted to pursue it as a career, but it never seemed the right time to start a business.  Things happen in life and get put on hold, then in August 2015 I was made redundant and knew this was my chance!  I started to build up a portfolio and also registered as a childminder.  The two complimented each other really well. ​ I did lots of training in newborn photography and safety as I realised quickly how deep my passion was for this genre in-particular.  The name Fairydust & Moonbeams came long before!  I love pretty things and astrology and in my twenties, dreaming at my desk one day (as a Legal Secretary) I thought "what would I call a business of my own if I had one"?

It stayed with me and here I am, living my dream doing what I love, whilst also raising my family and making others happy!  Our little ones love Fairydust and are our Moonbeams so seemed a fitting name.
